Free popcicles for the kids. Candidate participation explained below. Be ready for some fun!
When:July 27th
Where: Hartman Park
2801 Tucker Road, Nashville, TN 37218
Time: 11 am – 3 pm
The Bordeaux North Nashville Community PTA is hosting its First Annual Summer Community Festival, featuring “Dunk-a-Politician,”a fundraiser brainchild by Jim Shulman, Vice Mayor of Nashville.
The tongue-in-cheek political fun fest hopes to see incumbent council members take the challenge and give the community a shot to “dunk and splat” to support our public schools. All proceeds will go to benefit the Bordeaux North Nashville Community PTA to fund mentoring, community outreach, teacher supports, health and literacy initiatives within District 1 schools.
“Not only will our elected officials get a COOL splash, but they’ll be COOL with the kids!” says Kenyatte Tidwell, organizer of the event.
For candidates and elected officials who can’t attend or choose not to physically participate in a dunk, the community can still get a shot at the fun with a picture replica of their faces for a Tomato Throwing Contest.
There will be lots of family fun, food and fellowship with organized games of football, a golf obstacle course sponsored by The First Tee Tennessee and the Tennessee Golf Foundation, softball and dodgeball for the youth.

CANDIDATE INFO: Open to all! Would your organization or candidate like a booth or to canvas with literature? Register here.
